EvazéSir

EvazéSir were both born in 1984 and have been active as a duo of visual artists and muralists
since 2009. Sir is self-taught and started with graffiti and began painting in disused places.
He then developed a passion for stencils and the use of motifs, patterns. Eva had a more
academic training in art school and mostly concentrated on the study of the black and white
figure.
When their two graphic identities met, realism in brush painting got in stride with an urban
visual style using aerosol. The duo enjoyed being active in the streets, internationally, with
in situ paintings, collages or huge frescoes painted on walls but were also productive in the
studio with installations and paintings.
Original ideas, chance findings and brainwaves mix and build up into strong interventions.
Through the use of bits of wood, pieces of antique furniture, vintage objects and old paper
scraps, stories develop and flourish. Their art deals with storytelling and the very fabric of
time which they explore with both nostalgia and a keen interest for the traces left, the
mystery of memories

When figures, characters and motifs blend to make the material sing, bringing new life and
a breath of fresh air to it, the imagination gets summoned in a singular way.
