SPAZ

Lebanese artist
Spaz is a Lebanese graffiti artist, working in Beirut since 2012. The meaning of his name is “the loss of mental and physical control” that applies to each of us. We all have our “bugs” based on our daily lives. Spaz’s name, identity and characters project these personal and public experiences, creates a link between the concrete and the absurd.

Having traveled to showcase his talents from Brazil to Europe, in various festivals and cultural events, Spaz feeds off his inspirations and enjoys equally clean and stylish vandalism, as well as huge murals where textures and characters abound. These characters have become his trademark, and their expressions tinged with pure madness can be found everywhere, even in the ultra-fast “SP” letterings that he regularly creates on paper as well as on wall.
