Pré Saint-Gervais, Séverine district

With the support of the city’s Culture and Youth Department, the artists created two murals in the heart of the Séverine neighborhood, which has a large number of public housing projects. By taking place in the heart of this so-called “sensitive” neighborhood, which is home to more than 57 different nationalities, this project extended the political ambitions of the municipality, which is keen to offer all its residents a high-quality cultural life. In partnership with the Local Mission and the City’s Youth Department, around twenty adults and children met with the artists for discussions about their work and introductory graffiti workshops. Place Séverine, now adorned with two colorful murals, has thus established itself as a new landmark in the city…

“In my opinion, it is a real achievement to see culture fully integrated into the Séverine neighborhood thanks to Artivista. By brightening up these walls and bringing color to our city, these murals also deliver a message of diversity and highlight the values specific to our region, which is home to more than 57 different nationalities.”
