Here we are at the end of 2024 in Tripoli, Libya, where Artivista has collaborated with the NGO Super Novae after an enthusiastic meeting with the team at its Paris offices. Artivista is delighted to take part in the Mouta’alleq program, the main aim of which is to help ex-combatants and their families reintegrate into civilian and professional life. As in our previous interventions, we shared powerful moments with the beneficiaries, using urban painting as a common thread. The two artists, Aurélie Andrès (French) and Mohamed Shandoul (Libyan from Tripoli), supervised the creation of the painted walls at the French Embassy and in the center of Tripoli’s old town over a 5-day period. Introducing our partner
Super Novae is a young NGO specializing in building economic resilience in the world’s most fragile regions, for the benefit of people facing specific vulnerabilities and marginalization: ex-combatants, irregular workers, out-of-combat youth, isolated women, internally displaced people. As a dynamic and responsive non-profit organization, we are committed to empowering marginalized communities at the intersection of humanitarian aid and development. We use digital innovation as a tool to improve responsiveness and transparency.
In three years, we have been able to deploy concrete interventions in Libya, Yemen, Palestine (Gaza) and Sudan, thanks to support from the European Union, France, USAID and the WFP.

The Mouta’alleq project focuses on the socio-economic reintegration of ex-combatants in Tripoli, Libya. Through vocational training, psychosocial support and other key services, Super Novae helps individuals rebuild their lives and make a positive contribution to their communities. Currently in its third phase, the project is funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, continuing to pave the way for lasting peace and stability. The Mouta’alleq project offers a holistic approach to a target group facing psychosocial marginalization. In addition to providing entrepreneurial training, it offers psychological support, as well as artistic, sporting and e-sports activities to gradually reintegrate them into a balanced civil life.
Official inauguration in the medina
Organized by the French Ambassador and his team. The Libyan Minister of Labor, the Mayor of Tripoli, the Super Novae team, Artivista and the artists were all present. The children, whom we are not allowed to photograph, are numerous and delighted to take part in such an event.
