Aurélie Andrès

Aurélie Andrès is a French multidisciplinary artist whose work as a designer, illustrator and
muralist reflects her communicative joie de vivre. After a career as a textile designer, she,
during a 2018 Morrocan trip, discovered the pigments of the town of Chefchaouen in the
north-west of the country. She soon found herself using those pigments to paint her first
mural on the façade of a school in the middle of the desert. Working among these children
with bright beaming faces, something clicked in her: this large format experience was to
trigger big new adventures. Today, her graphic and colourful pop style is to be found on
walls from Japan to Columbia, from New York to Paris. Generously assertive, she now turns
more and more towards muralism and the power of sharing.
Bringing colour to greyish landscapes is, through her art, to present others with the gift of a
feel-good therapy.
And that’s what Aurélie is about.
